Agnes Genett Haley, 62, of Rockford, IL, departed this earthly life on July 18th, 2022, with her family by her side. She was born on April 29th, 1960, in Hillsboro, Alabama to John and Hattie Haley. 

Agnes was such a beautiful soul and caretaker by nature. She always went above and beyond to ensure everyone around her was taken care of. Agnes had a vibrant laugh and smile that could light up any room. Her greatest joys were her two sons and eleven grandchildren, whom she stated were her whole life. Spending time with them brought her so much joy. Agnes loved trying new foods, cooking for everyone, chocolate, and staying up all night to watch movies. Agnes was an incredibly kind woman with a compassionate heart. 

Agnes leaves many cherished memories with her mother Hattie Haley. Agnes leaves behind her beautiful children: son Antwon (Patricia) Haley, and son Douglas (Jessica) Haley, as well as granddaughters: Ashley Haley, Zypassion Haley, Tatyanna Davis-Haley, Cayleana Boyer, and Kamiyah Haley, and grandsons: Malyk Davis, Marterrion Haley, Christopher Houston, Kavon Houston, Antwon Haley Jr, Deucaelian Haley, and great grandson Zy’manii Dumas. She also leaves behind her loving brother, Lee Henderson, and sisters Gloria (Sonny) Parchmon, and Teresa (Gregory) Alexander. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, including her lifelong friend Elnora Blankenship. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather Cliff Hill, maternal grandmother Stella Tucker, paternal grandfather Frank Haley, paternal grandmother Maddie Agnes Haley, her father John Haley, her son Edward Haley, her sisters Pamela Haley and Elrine Mitchell, her brothers Dennis Greg Haley, Terry Hill, Johnnie Haley, and John Edward Haley.
