Stella Longs

  Stella M Longs was born into this world on September 24 1952 in Chicago IL, to the proud parents of Roy & Sula Longs. She was the 2nd of 12 living children.

 Stella was raised in the Englewood area of Chicago, where she attended Parker Elementary, & graduated from Parker High. She later received her associates degree from Olive Harvey College.

 As a young adult, Stella moved to the far south side of Chicago. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, reading, & gatherings with family & friends. It was at that time when she started to seek God diligently. She gave her life & the lives of her children to the Lord. She was an active servant in the house of the Lord, using her God given talents to build up God’s kingdom.

    Everyone that knew Stella, knew that she was a devout women of God. She raised her four children up under God’s word & taught them about the love of God, & everything that the Holy Spirit had taught her. When the grandchildren came along, she was faithful with the same teachings.

     God blessed Stella with a number of talents & gifts, but she was mostly known for her gift of being an intercessor. She would spend hours in deep prayer on behalf of others, & would pray at the drop of a hat when lead by the Holy Spirit. Stella was a strong woman of God. Throughout her earthly life, she experienced the joys of being on the mountain top, & she also experienced the sorrows of being in the low valleys, but no matter what, she stood firm in the Lord. Stella Trusted God. 

 On July 15, 2019, Stella’s journey & battle was over. She left her earthly life with so much love & peace in her heart, to begin her eternal life with the Lord. She always said, “We are just passing through this world, to get to our eternal home”…. Stella has made it home.. & it is well with my soul...Stella leaves her handprint of love, teachings, & memories with everyone who knew her. Her 4 children, her son in law, 16 grandchildren, 13 great grand children, 11 siblings, & a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts & uncles, & the rest of her family & friends.

 The word tells us, To Be Absent From The Body, Is To Be Present With The Lord….AMEN!!
