Rev. Albert Stallworth Obituary

Rev. Albert Kenneth Stallworth was born December 29th, 1955in Cleveland, OH to Jonnie Pearl Salter-Stallworth and Albert Stallworth St. Al attended East Technical School in the Cleveland public school system. While in high school Al matured into a wise young man and enjoyed academics, participating in band and played bass guitar during and after high school.  Al graduated from East Technical.  After high school Al met the love of his life, Dorothy Lavern Jackson and relocated to Rockford, IL where they married and had lovely children, Loleatha Monique and Kenneth Marcel. Al was later blessed with his youngest son Michael.  Al was proud of his children and grandchildren. 

Al was always a working man.  He worked as a skilled machinist with Warner Lambert, Amrock and Ingersoll for many years.  He later went on to serve as a Crisis Manager with the Rockford, Rescue Mission.  Rev. Al also served as Pastor of the Ebenezer Baptist Church where he touched many lives.  Rev, Al dedicated much of his life to encouraging and empowering others.  He was a champion for the downtrodden, neglected and disenfranchised.  He loved helping people. 

Rev. Al was an intellectual and had many hobbies and giftsincluding fishing, bowling and electronics.  In addition to many gifts Rev. Al had great technical aptitude and was a computer expert.  He shared his gifts with all he knew, especially his brothers in the ministry, helping equip them with technology for their work in the ministry, this help was part of his personal ministry.  

Rev. Al had a heart for ministry, organizing the Reclaiming Your Life Ministry was amongst his crown jewels.  Through this ministry chains were broken, families were restored and lives were reclaimed for Jesus Christ.  Rev. AL was born again believer on a mission to introduce others to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  Rev. Al began his official preaching under the leadership of Pastor Louis E. Malone, St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church. Until the time of his transition he was a proud member of Starlight Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Vaughn Gilmore where he served faithfully.  

As a family man Rev Al was a friend to all of his immediate and extended family always ready to listen with a kind and gentle spirit.  His proudest accomplishment and crown jewel was being a grandfather.  His grandchildren brought him great joy. 

Rev, Al departed this life January 23, 2019 at age 63.  He was preceded in death by his mother and father, brothers Hiram Whitaker Sr., Lawrence Stallworth and Daryl Stallworth.  

He leaves to cherish his memories his siblings Donna Ware, Vivian Smith, Bing Crosby. Aunt Jean (Joseph) Salter-Wise. Children Loleatha (Edward) Harrington, Kenneth Marcel Stallworth, Michael Jones. Grandchildren: Bryson Thomas, Dadrian King, Kenadi Stallworth, Key’ara Jones, Emory Harrington, Edward Harrington, Ezekiel Harrington.  He also has a host of wonderful nieces and nephews.
