Karlreese Laron Sims was born April 9, 1969 in Rockford, Il to Bishop Donald L. Sims and Mother Ernestine Sims. He graduated from West High School in 1987 where he was a member of the track and football teams.
Over the years he worked for Tower Automotive, The Men's Wearhouse and Union Pacific Railroad. He worked in the car business in sales and finance, his favorite occupation of all.
When the God of Israel blessed him to return to the Fold, he was a worker in the Church. Karlreese was an individual that people were drawn to and never forgot and like his father, he never met a stranger.
Karlreese married Vanessa Finley on April 12, 2003 and together they raised their children Gabrielle and Gianna. He has three children from a previous marriage: NaCassia , Sharaya and Karlreese Laron. II. He loved the White Horse Army, his family and loved his children.
Karlreese passed away on Sunday August 13, 2017 after a long illness. He was preceded in death by his father, Bishop Donald L. Sims his uncles: Reginald, Bobby and Leotis Sims. He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Mother Ernestine Sims, his brother Deacon L. Keith (Nina) Sims, his sister Kaunda L. Sims-Goode. His aunts and uncles: Rosetta Luke, Sandra (Bill) Mosley and Deborah Brooks, Deacon Marion (Dauphne) Sims III, Fred Sims, Rev. Andrew (Emma) Sims, Vernon (Bridget) Sims, Willie Sims and Deacon Willie (Josie) Maxwell. His children: Gianna, Gabrielle, Karlreese II, Sharaya and NaCassia and his grand children: Holland, Kaia and Bali. He also leaves the love of his life Vanessa, his wife, nurse and best friend. As well a multitude of nieces, nephews and friends.
