Geneva Davis was born on March 2, 1926 in Goodman, Mississippi to Bea Bell and Idell Vaughn Smart. She attended school in Goodman, Mississippi. She was employed with River Bluff Nursing Home for many years as a nurses assistant. She was joined in Holy matrimony to Ado Davis on February 2, 1947. To this union six children were born and a special nephew whom she raised as a son. Geneva departed this earthly life on Saturday September 29, 2018. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ado Davis; daughter, Juanita Simmons; mother, Idell Smart; stepfather, Tommy Smart; and father, Bea Bell. Also, sisters; Lue Ada Jarrett, Wilma Jean Smart, Ida Mae Grove, Inez McGrone, Elizabeth Brown, Dorothy Joseph, and Beola Tripplett: brothers; Henry Smart and Lamar Bell. She leaves to cherish her many memories; Terri (Bronco) Perin, Linda Green, Dorothy (Kevin) Stanfield, Maggie Lloyd, Eddie Jarrett, Tommy (Manessa) Davis. Brothers; T.J. Smart, Maurice (Gloria) Smart, McKinley (Flo) Smart, and Victor (Carol) Bell. Sisters; Magnolia Bell, Annie Lee Anthony, Betty Payne, Sue (Adam) Herron, and Maggie Bolden. 19 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren. Godchildren; Michael Gandy and Milayna Hayes. Geneva loved cooking and spending time with her family. She opened her home to many and turned no one away. She will be greatly missed.
