Edward Goins

Edward Goins was born September 25, 1962 in Chicago, Il to Blair Smith Sr., and Ann Goins (Howard).  He was raised by Aretha Wilson (Howard) who preceded him in death. 
Edward, affectionately called Bird, attended Willa Cather and Robert Emmett Elementary schools and graduated from Austin High School.  
He accepted Christ as his savior at an early age.
Edward was joined in holy matrimony with Veronica on September 23, 1994.
Edward departed his life on April 12, 2019.  He was preceded in death by his father, Blair; sister, Maryann; and brother, Grenard. 
He leaves to cherish his loving memory: his mother, Ann Goins (Howard); his wife, Veronica; his children, Lena (Jerome), Edward (Felicia), Kanisha Ebony (Miko), Brittany (Reginald), Channie; stepson, Jeremy (Tamera; godson, Miguel and god daughter, Teona aka Buddah; siblings, Nina (Jimmy) Maryann, Annette (Jessie) Carolyn (Derrick) Greg, Grenard, Henry (Trina) Michael (LaTonia) Nimray (Tonyaleice), Terri, Carolyn, Delores, Clayton, William (Jennifer); grandchildren, Andriana, Adriana, Danisha, Timothy, Kion, Teontay, Mikel, Brooklyn and Reign; great grandson, Mason and a host of nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends; best friend, Jessie.
