Eddie E. Torrance Jr.

Eddie Eugene Torrance Jr. was born February 3, 1951 in Water Valley Ms. to Eddie Torrance Sr. and Pearline Torrance. Eddie attended Rockford Public Schools where he later received his GED at Roosevelt School. Later in life Eddie decided to go to college where he attended Bluegrass Community & Technical College where he maintained a 4.0 GPA and received an Associates of Arts Degree graduating May 12, 2013. He continued his education where he earned his bachelors of sciences degree also receiving a Presidential honors reward and Student Ambassador. Eddie was currently enrolled at University of Kentucky pursuing his Master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling and was looking forward to doing his internship in Africa.

Eddie was employed by University of Kentucky Lucille Caudill Little Fine Arts Library prior to his death, Chrysler, Drop Force and Greenlee Brothers before becoming a Self Employed Mechanic.

Eddie was committed for 47 years to Debra Bedford. To this union 3 children were born.

Eddie departed this life March 13, 2019 at 8:12 pm. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Georgia Potter, father Eddie Eugene Torrance Sr. 2 brothers, James (Jimmy) Torrance and Nathaniel Torrance and brother in law Mark Bedford.

Eddie leaves to cherish his memories: Debra Bedford (spouse); children, Vernetta (Michael) Bedford-Wells of Rockford IL, Chernetta Bedford and Kellisa (Mark) Bedford of Lexington Ky;  one son, Daunte Vance of Madison WI., two step daughters, Shante Vance Madison, WI and Angela Hatchett of Louisville Ky.  Mother Pearline Potter-Torrance, Mother in Law Theresa (Raymond) Green of Rockford, four sisters, Jonita Rodgers and Sylvia Barnes of Rockford, IL., Diane Torrance of Tampa Fl., Vanessa Dewalt of Phoenix Az., sister in law Donna Bedford of Surprise Az., 2 brothers Ernie (Pam) Phillips and Alfonso Melendez Torrance both of Rockford, IL.,  brother in laws Clyde and Greg Bedford of Rockford, IL., 14 grandchildren Jazmyne Bedford, Marneque Graham, Mitchell Williams Jr. Mariah Williams, Mark (Haley) Bedford, Markell Bedford, Marlisa Bedford, Marcelo Bedford, Shantia Murray, Tiffany Murray, Julia Vance, Stacie Vance, Daunte Vance Jr. and Dauntrea Vance and 6 great grandchildren Aniyah, Amirah, Callie Chanel, Jazlynn, Asia and Amiyah. Special nieces & cousin Felicia Tomlinson ,Dewana & Latheresseea Bedford and Brian Grashen, adopted family Laura New, Sabita Singh, Ram Bogadi and family a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
