Doris M. Holliman, 59, of Rockford, IL departed this earthly life on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Rockford Memorial Hospital after a short illness.
Doris was born November 21, 1957 in Rockford, IL, the daughter of Robert and Tessie Woods. Doris lived in Rockford all of her life and attended West High School. She was the caregiver to many family members, friends and anyone that needed a helping hand. She was a former member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. Ellis Toney, and later years, visited many other churches.
Doris leaves to cherish many loving memories her four children ~ Veronica Holliman of Dallas, TX, Tony Holliman of Arlington, TX, Shonta Holliman of Rockford, IL, Clevester Chandler, Jr. of Dallas, TX,; brothers ~ Joe Woods, Robert Earl (Nora) Woods, Marvin (Lavette) Woods, Curtis Woods, Carrie (Donna) Woods, Donnie (Ellen) , James Woods all of Rockford, Jerrel (Carol) Lawson of Texarkana, AR, Ronald Lawson of Hope, AR; and Alex (Mary) Woods of Oklahoma City, OK; sisters ~ Alberta Russell of Arlington, TX, Lillian (Ron) Williams, Juanita (George) Woods, Delores (Jeff) Walker, all of Rockford, IL, Sylvia Warren of Texarkana, AR, and Anita (Lee) Fricks of Rockford, IL; 4 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, special friend ~ Joe Irving; friend ~ Albert Hunter and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was predeceased by father, two sisters and one grandson.
