Dennis Gage born August 9, 1958 in Chicago, IL to Ernest and Audrey Gage Sr. Dennis accepted Christ at an early age. Dennis attended D. S. Wentworth School in Chicago, IL and also Auburn High School in Rockford, IL. Dennis ran track and played basketball while in school. After high school Dennis began working, he was employed at various factories until permit work at Carlson Capital for 20 plus years as a supervisor working until his passing away. He was joined in holy matrimony with Mary Louise Gage for 31 years having no children in union. Dennis favorite sport was football and basketball but loved watching all sports. Dennis was a member of Progressive Missionary Baptist Church Rockford, IL where he served as a Deacon for 5 years also was the director of the community service program at Progressive Dennis was a part of the male chorus, he was involved in all he could be at the church also assisting the pastor in the furthering of the vision for the church. Dennis departed his life November 4, 2017 at Swedish American Hospital after a short illness. He leaves to cherish his loving wife Mary L. Gage, 2 daughters Angela ( Phillip) Trammell of Rockford, IL, Nicole Gage of San Francesco, Ca, 1 son Joseph Duckett of Rockford,IL, 11 Grandchildren, 2 Great Grand children, 2 brothers Ernest Gage Jr. of Chicago, IL, Gregory ( Shelia) Gage of Chicago, IL. Host of nephews,  nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Special family Progressive church family also his boss, Roger Kjellstron , Rita Love, Roger Taylor all of Carlson Capital Company. Dennis is predeceased by father Earnest Gage Sr., Mother Audrey Gage, sister Earnestein, Rosemary and Aubrey Gage and favorite aunt Adraine Washington.  Service will be held November 17, 2017 at Progressive Missionary Baptist Church 109 Lincoln Park Blvd - Pastor Rev. Anthony L. Grier , 11 a.m. with visitation from 9a.m until service.
