Chucky L. Laster

Chucky L. Laster, 37, of Rockford went to eternal rest on July 7, 2018. Chucky was born June 3, 1981 in Rockford, IL to Van Buren Jr. and Lorna Laster. He attended Guilford High School, later to receive his G.E.D. Chucky was formerly employed by MCI.

Chucky accepted Christ at an early age, baptized at Emmanuel Episcopal Church.

Chucky loved to travel and refurbish older cars, he also enjoyed spending time with his family and making others happy.

Chucky leaves to cherish many precious memories, four sons; Chaviez, Javaris, Chucky Jr. all of Rockford and Sayveon of Columbus, OH. One daughter, Nadia of Georgia. Mother, Lorna Laster of Virginia, Grandmother Sybil White of Rockford and Fiancée Emily Stinson. Nine brothers, LaRaycheal, Jamal, Christopher (Monitque), Eric, Lance, Deangelo, and Loren all of Rockford. Vonce (Latarsha) of Kentucky, and RaShaun of Washington. Nine sisters, Tia (Nathaniel), Tequila and Savannah of Virginia, Vanquiell, Vanesha, Angel, Kiara, Shareea, and Revena all of Rockford and Dynasty of Texas. Four Aunts Bertha(Lanzey) Arberry, Junita Williams, Gloria Haynie, and Jacqueline Smithson. Seven Uncles Gerald(Linda) Donahue, Eddie(Melissa) Laster, Bruce Laster, Steve Laster, Duane Donahue, and Patrick Weller. Special cousins, Devon Ishman, Ronald Haynie, Marcus Davis and Farrah Hudson; Special friends Derrik Daye, Rico Williams, and Dawon Lewis. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Chucky was predeceased by his Father, Van Buren Jr., Grandmother, Malissa Laster, Grandfathers Van Buren Sr. and Godfrey Weller. Brothers, Dejuan Laster, and Vanzell Laster. Special friend Pedro “K-Dog” Montoya.
