Valerie Vanessa Young 49, closed her eyes to rest and rose in the presence of the Lord. Born July 10,
1965 in Rockford, Illinois. Valerie was a lifetime homemaker. Known for her infamous "Butter Spaghetti", Chicken and her amazing "Ramen Noodles". Lived all of her life in Rockford where she attended Jefferson High School.
She leaves to cherish her wilfully strong mother Mary Louise Young, four amazing children,
Rickedda(Trina) Young, Tela (TEE) Edgeston, Shyteria (Martaille)Burks and her Shit-zue King which she called (Doddy). Special Friends includes but not limited to Ida Pillion, Yvette Williams, Zabrina Johnston, Sandra Mackey, Angela Duckett, Eleanor Barmore and all the 4:30 GIRLS .
Special Cousins Patricia Brown and Levitris Young. Special adopted kids: Ashley Evans, Oshiana Walker, Mina Puckett and Jasmine Storey.
Valerie has an array of sisters and brothers that loved her very well: Charles (Kim) Young,
Leona(McArthur)Tennin, Arletha Jones, Gloria Jones, Ruth Ann Leach, Marilyn Young, Eugene(Brenda)
Leach, Jesse Leach, Larry Young, Mary Ann (Bruce) King. Six grandchildren: Antwonisha Hudson, Zariya Lee, Tyie Young, Jania Revels, Jordan Smith and special granddaughter/daughter Ra'kyia Fricks (NUK). Special Nephew (Allante King) Special Niece (Brandy Clark) and a slew of other nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her Father J.T. Leach, Brother J. T. Leach Jr. Sister Rosetta Tennin and all of our favorite, Blanch (Grumma, Mrs. Blanch) Young.
