TONI R. MELI, 72 ROCKFORD - Toni R. Meli, 72, of Rockford passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2015, in Rockford Memorial Hospital from lung cancer. Born April 20, 1943; daughter of Thomas B. and Irene Meli. Toni is survived by sons, Troy Gregory and Eric Meli, both of Rockford; two brothers, George and Tom Meli; grandsons, Jeremy Gregory; two great- grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and longtime friends, Debbie Kearby Kimmy Kearby, Gary Ecklund, and Kathy Bachmeier. Predeceased by her parents and son, James Gregory. Toni will be missed by many friends and children whom she babysat, her favorite aunt, Barbara Makinsey.
