OBITUARY

Semarin Sarturo DuBois was born February 19, 1986 to Demetria (Mosley) DuBois and Remere DuBois in Rockford, IL. He was the youngest in a family of five. His two older brothers are Remere E. DuBois and Mortedus M. DuBois.

Semarin's mother Demetria brought Sem, Remere and Mortedus to Pilgrim Baptist Church as little boys. Sem attended Guilford High School in Rockford. He also worked as a sprinkler fitter in Atlanta, GA.

Sem always loved animals, especially dogs. As a teenager, Sem enjoyed basketball and challenging his big brothers on the court. In later years, Sem, or "Big Katt" as his friends called him, enjoyed fixing up and working on fast cars, not to mention driving fast and making donuts in the street.

Sem loved his family and friends. He was extremely protective of the females in his life. He would go out of his way to make sure they were safe.

Sem was a very kind-hearted young man who would share whatever he had, including that big smile of his. Whether it was playing pranks on his brothers, playing around with his nieces and nephew, or joking with his friends, Sem loved to keep everyone laughing.

Semarin is pre-deceased by his mother, Demetria DuBois, his grandmother Emma L. DuBois and grandfather, Marcella Mosley. He leaves to cherish many loving memories his father, Remere DuBois, two brothers: Mortedus M. DuBois and Remere E. DuBois (Lindsey), loving grandmother Lorraine Mosley (Chicago), nephew Amere, nieces Cassidy, Kendahl, Giselle, and Kaiara, special friends: Shontanique Brown and Tamketa Smith, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.
