Regina "Reggie" Hart departed this earthly life on November 29, 2014 at Swedish American Hospital after a long illness. Her sweet spirit went to join the Savior in a home not built with hands whose maker and builder is God. Reggie was the sixth child born to the late Rev. Herbert and Luedester Hart in Middletown, OH on March 8, 1947. She was a member of Pilgrim Baptist Church. She worked as a cook prior to her illness and was an avid gardener that loved family, food, music and the Lord. She is survived by Melvin Hart of Ohio, Stephanie (Wayne) Penix, Terry Hart, Christopher (Amanda) Hart; sisters, Hannah Dailey of Ohio and Carole Culbreath of Wisconsin; brother Robert (Rita) Hart of Ohio; special grand daughter, Jesika "Jessy" Hart and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, sisters, Emma and Isabel Hart and life partner, Solomon Floyd Bunn.
A visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m on Tuesday, December 9th, 2014, at Pilgrim Baptist Church, 1703 S. Central Ave, Rockford, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations maybe sent to the family.
