Joyce "Jazzy J" Ann Paden 52, of Rockford departed this earthly life September 12th, 2014
in Swedish American hospital, after a very short illness. She was born November 30th, 1961 in Hughes, Arkansas. The daughter of Kattie Mae Brown and Joe Henry Brown. She moved to Joliet in 1972 where she attended schools. In 1979 she moved to Rockford, IL. She had a very big heart. She was outgoing, very energetic, she loved to cook, clean and talk. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was very out spoken. Joyce made the impossible possible.
Joyce leaves to cherish many loving memories, two sons Oscar Brown and Kenneth Brown;
and one deceased son Quintavious Brown, five grandchildren; Zykeya Brown, Shybria Brown, Mytavious Brown, Ken'Niza Brown, Ken'Naisa Brown. Mother Kattie Mae Brown of Rockford, IL. Grandmother Corrine Johnson of Florida, Uncle Sammy Macklin of Rockford. Five sisters; Deborah Brown, Sandra Barker, Carolyn (Tommy) Smith, Janice Brown, Angenette Brown. Seven brothers; Terry Robinson, Joe Brown, Tommy (Cindy) Brown, Bill (Schermaine) Brown, Timothy Brown, Anthony Brown, Eddie Brown. A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends and special sisters Deborah and Carolyn Brown and special friend Louveanger Dishman.
Joyce was predeceased by her father Joe Brown, special aunt; Lula Gutierrez, grandparents; James Brown, Lucille Brown.
