Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Friend
Beola Tripplett, 85 of Rockford transitioned on Friday August 1, 2014, in her home surrounded by family after battling a long term illness. Beola was born November 12, 1928, in Durant Mississippi, to Bea and Maggie Bell. She married William Tripplett Sr. in Durant Mississippi and worked at Montgomery Wards in Rockford Illinois for 15 years. Beola is survived by, daughters; Beulah Tripplett, Camena Ferguson, Teresa (Thaddeus) Tripplett-Harris, Michelle (William) Davis, Lenora Tripplett; sons William (Carolyn) Tripplett Jr., Oscar (Bessie) Tripplett; sisters; Geneva Davis, Maggie Bolden and brother, Victory (Carol) Bell. Godson Renault Anthony Griffin; ten grandchildren; twenty-six great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren. Predeceased by husband William Tripplett Sr.; son, Pfc. A.W. Tripplett, daughter Anita Walker; parents Maggie and Bea Bell; in laws Ike and Jennie Tripplett; brother Lamar Bell; son in law James Ferguson Sr. Special thanks to Doctors Allen Williams and Harvey Einhorn and all the staff at Swedish American Hospital. Special thanks also to the staff at Eastbank Rehabilitation Center and Heartland Hospice Center.
Services will be at 11am on Saturday, August 9, 2014 in New Fellowship Baptist Church located at 804 Second Avenue. Burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will take place Friday, August 8, 2014 from 4pm to 6pm at Collins and Stone Funeral Home.
