Alicia D. Nixon

Alicia "Diane" Nixon was born on February 18, 1959 to the late Allen and Alice Jones in Chicago, Il. She attended John M. Smith Elementary School and later Roosevelt CEC. She confessed her life to Christ at an early age and was baptized at Sweet Home Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend O.L. Gregory. In 1982 Diane married Charles L. Winfield Jr. and to this union one child was born.

Diane met Joe (deceased) later in life and moved to Arlington Heights, Il. There she spent 10 yrs after which they separated and she moved back to Chicago, Il.

In 2001 she met her soul mate, Anzio Nixon, and married him on April 18, 2009. Anzio and Diane spent many precious moments and shared many joys together. She enjoyed playing cards, Bingo, and dancing; especially her favorite dance called the "Buford."Diane was very family oriented. She lived life to the fullest and fought until the very end. She was kind, sweet, loving, and caring and showed it every day by her actions.
Diane departed this life on April 5, 2014 at 3:08 am. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter: Trolisha; six aunts: Olphia, Jeanette, Mary Alice, Vera, Loretta, and Beulah; and four uncles: Oliver, Eugene, Willie, and Robert.

She leaves to mourn and cherish her memories her loving husband: Anzio Nixon; one daughter: Bianca Jones; three daughter-in-laws: Frances, Daja, and Naja; three brothers: Allen (Cynthia), Aaron (Linda), and Airastede; six sisters: Alana (Tony), Adrian, Aliea, Lee Irene, Trinette, and Sherri; Mother-in-law: Patricia Nixon; three brother-in-laws: Jermaine, Jamar, and Romel; three sister-in-laws: Patrice, Aisha, and Artice; four uncles: Edgar, Freddie, Kenneth, and Henry; three aunts: Carol, Johnnie Mae, and Rose Mary; one special God son Jaevon, special friend Mahalia; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
