My heart felt heavy when hearing of Bert's passing. I will always remember her beautiful smile along with her caring and understanding demeanor. She was never judgmental and always ready to help in time of need. Bert was very proud of her children and grand children. To Bert's family and close friends, a true ANGEL is gone. Let's all look forward to joining her in HEAVEN someday.

To Earlene and Family......"May God take care of you, for his mercy is so plentiful"- We. Have so many memories to cherish of a good person, mother, friend, and God fearing woman. My mine go back to days of Handcock street, and the street lights coming on and your job Earlene was to find Diana, & Jr. before your mom got home, However, they would only be down the street at Corrine's house on Handcock. With much Love to the entire family may God continue to bless you. "The Girls from Handcock Street"Sarah Nell Shipp-ParranAnd the entire Shipp FamilyFreeport,Illinois/Matteson,illinois

I had the privilege of meeting Miss Berthola through the fellowship our church (Morning Star) has with New Zion. Even though I only spoke with her 4 or 5 times, her gracious kindness, sweet spirit and smile caused me to have a great affection for her. I was grieved to hear of her passing. I look forward to knowing her better in Heaven.God's comfort to all of you in your loss.Mary Ayers
